  1. I really like your blog. If possible would really help if you could give a little more idea of level of difficulty -- this new effect seems great, but how hard is it to master? 100% agree on normal decks -- though I keep Whitestar (as you reccomended it) and ESPerfect as both have reasons to be kept seperate as opposed to the "I have here a normal deck of cards etc.) :)

P.S. Hope I win the bottle

  2. Hi Jamie,

I love reading your Magic Friday column. I'm amazed how you manage to learn and practice a new trick almost every week! Your feedback has been intsrumental in my buying some new effects.

    Keep up the great work!

  3. I have to agree, this has been one of the most quintessential resources (along with Marketplace of the Mind) that I use when contemplating new magic purchases. The breadth of styles you have mastered to present Magic Friday is impressive and literally leaves no genre untouched almost.

I am curious as to how you find time, as someone said earlier, to practice, script and perfect while still maintaining a day job and a professional magic career?

Thanks for the chance to win a bottle! Although I already read the blog religiously, I'm glad it'll be getting more attention now! ;)

  9. Wow! Great contest idea. Thanks for the opportunity to win one of your famous bottles.

And thanks for the great reviews! With so much magic coming out all the time it is sometimes difficult to sort the gems from the rest. Good reviews certainly help.

    Have a great Holiday!

  20. Thank you for the instructions on how to post Jamie.

Here is a Christmas present if it's any good to you, an opening line.

"I'm not the first person in my familt to be in show business. My Father was an Elvis impersonator."

    Pause...

"Not much call for it in the '30's though!"

I have used this and it gets a laugh.

Merry Christmas to you and everyone who drops by.

  31. Jamie,

Again, the video reviews are not only uber informative, but entertaining and helpful.

What software are you using to edit your videos together? Are you using iMovie?

  40. Hey Jamie,
I just wanted to thank you for the time and effort you put into the site. I love reading it! And as someone working on making a career out of magic, it is just a wonderful resource. Congratulations on all your success. I will definitely continue reading. :)

  41. Hey Jamie,
First, i enjoyed your recent interview posted my Dodd Vickers on the Magic Newswire. It is there that I learned of your Magic Friday blog site - nice. I know you are looking for suggestions of other effects to review and I am interested in your opinion of a trick by David Jade being marketed by Mathieu Bich called "Reversible?". It is a 'packet' trick and seems to create quite an impact on the spectators.
Keep up your good work and the best of the Holiday Season to you and yours.
